Mad Monkey Medibles Magic Mammoth Muffins!

Hows it look? Well you can see for yourselves..they look naughty naughty naughty!! Large and in charge. They look so beautifully put together, no hurriedly put on wonky icing, they have put care and attention into building each of these muffs. 

How do they smell? Sweeeeeeeeet, eau de sucre. Christmas, I got christmas smells. the scent of sugar, cocoa in the air laced with cinnamon. There was an american-esque cinnamon smell I was not mad about haha! I fucking love cinnamon! There is never too much cinnamon! 

Muff no1. The Snickerdoodle is a caramel muffin stuffed/topped with caramel, covered in cinnamon crumble and finished with a hearty chunk of snickers. 

Muff no2. Aff Ur Rocher (pronounced like 'off your rocker' with a heavy Irish accent is a nutella muffin topped with chocolate icing, chopped nuts, a ferrero rocher plus a surprise in the center...another ferrero rocher baked in the middle 

Woooooow....well they are both richer than richard branson, richer than bill gates. Fuck me they are HELLA DECADANT. These are some rich rich bitches. I don't typically have a sweet tooth, I need to be hiiiigh or about to come on my period to want something of this level of sugar. I know there's a few people with sweet teeth who this would be perfect for! 

The muffin themselves have a great density to them, they aren't light, they aren't too moist or too dry, they have an ideal consistency to be enjoyed with a cup of tea or coffee. These are definitely after dinner or afternoon treats to be enjoyed slowly, not a quick bite to medicate. 

I reeeeeally loved the snickerdoodle best, that cinnamon sold it for me. I feel there was cinnamon in the batter too as well as the crumble on top, YES YES YES. I think this was my favourite out of the 2. The Aff Ur Rocher still delicious but i fucking love cinnamon!!!

I think it took about 45mins for the muffin to kick in as this was my breakfast for the day. I am glad I hadn't eaten anything before because of how rich it was, it felt i needed a nap after nobbling haha. I have a very high tolerance, its rare that an edible will effect how much I am smoking through the day. In the 3.5-4hrs that followed I didn't smoke other than a 3:1 CBD:THC blunt I enjoyed with the muffin but I had a good creative head on my shoulders. I cracked on with my work with very little pain. I managed to tackle a new tech challenge I probably would have got very distressed trying to do normally but I had the kind of high that allows you to just do the thing. just fucking push through with a nice level head.

Maybe with a tolerance break (as my consumption has been a little high this past week) they would be the kind of high that made more relaxed and wavey rather than focused and motivated, 

When/how were you introduced to Cannabis? What did you know about it before? - How long have you been using cannabis for? I was introduced to the devil’s lettuce when I was 14yo. By an older lad on the estate, I  grew up in. I didn’t know much about it other than being told we’d see little green men running around  lol. And as for how long, well, I’m 40yo sooooo !

How regularly do you use cannabis? Morning, noon, and night and deffo usually don’t miss 4.20pm and every chance in between 

Why do you use cannabis? How do you feel it benefits your mind, body and soul? - What mode(s) of administration do you favour? Are you a purist, use a herbal blend or tobacco? My use is habitual and know the mental benefits the plant provides and as a driver on  Belfast roads [nobody is kind] I deffo use it to calm myself, straight through the door and out to my shed for peace. It definitely helps calm me, I can still function ‘highly'. I’m deffo not the lazy stoner, my body needs the plant, as any other substance you put into your body, your body gets rid of fast, cannabis is held by the body for 72 hours**, where alcohol is expelled from the system right  away, that’s also why you feel so bad after alcohol. Mode of admin is by glass only (bongs). I don’t smoke tobacco at all so I’m a purist

What is your business? What do you sell/create/distrubute? My business is Mad Monkey Medibles. We make the best Muffins in Belfast and also can also help people with medical needs that  this plant provides, we also make fudge and other things to be added to the menu we have  other products available like mugs, mood mats and other little trinkets 

 What inspired you to start your business? What makes it unique to you?Space Monkey edibles was my inspiration, without him kicking me in the arse to do something with my natural skills ideally my Mum really is my inspiration (rest her soul) she  left me with sick skills and now I’m using them to my advantage. Its unique to me because there aren’t many makers here making muffins and if they are they aren’t as good as mine!!!
